Who Are You by Denise Chand

Who are you? No, really – who are you? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself that question? I have – many times. And I can boldly say that I KNOW who I am!

That’s a question we all ask ourselves (or should ask ourselves) at some point in life. This question is usually asked when the lights are turned off, the audience has left, the mask is off and it’s just you and yourself. Unfortunately, for some, this question is asked in the latter part of life – but I do understand better late than never! The perception (or opinion) is that young people (or youth – whichever term you wish to use) is the generation who are suffering with identity crisis. However, I do know they are not the only ones that do (mind you, there are many young people who walk in the consciousness of knowing who they are). Many adults (young and old) have absolutely no clue who they are!

Not knowing who you are is extremely dangerous!

“Who are you” refers to knowing your purpose, your gifts and talents, your abilities, knowing your worth, etc… Do you know you were created with a specific purpose, uniquely crafted for you, where only your personality/character is able to fulfill that specific purpose? Do you know why you are the way you are; why you look the way you look; why you were born in the family and culture you were born into; why you’ve experienced all you’ve experienced (good and bad)…I can continue, but you get the picture.
“For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” Eph 2:10AMP
Listen up, People! If you don’t know who you are, circumstances, people, situation, media, organizations you’re associated with will trespass (definition: an unlawful act causing injury to the person, property, or rights of another, committed with force or violence, actual or implied.) into your life and try to dictate who you are and control who you are. And if you’re not confident in knowing who you are, you will bow and accept what and who they believe you are…making you their creation, serving their purpose, rather than God’s purpose for your life!

It’s important for you to know that God has predestined you for greatness, success, excellence - to live a victorious life. God has pre-ordered your life, according to His purpose, for a specific assignment. DISCOVER that purpose! LOCATE yourself in that divine plan!

Tip: To locate yourself in God’s plan, you should have a good knowledge of God’s Word and understand the Scriptures! “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures…” Matt22:20NLT
Wake up, people! Don’t allow anything or anyone to dictate who you are, especially those who are in leadership positions, who themselves are suffering with identity crisis!

  1. You have addressed an important issue in the Kingdom of God - Who are you? a question of identity, a question of purpose. It is vital to our success in life to have a full and intimate understanding of who we are. When you do not know who you are others will trespass to define it for you and engage you to fulfill their agenda, purpose and plans. Many in the Kingdom of God are struggling and failing in life because they do not have knowledge – revelation knowledge that changes circumstances and impact lives. The revelation of who the Christian truly is, will revolutionize the thoughts, words and actions of a man. A Christian who knows who he/she is will function successfully in his/hers God-given purpose and achieves the impossible.

  2. keep blogging and writing and let you gift come forth.
